Kegunaan isotop rutenium
- 96Ru is used to produce radioisotopes 94Ru (with a half-life of 52 min) and 95Ru (with half-life of about 1.64 h) via the reactions 96Ru (n, 3n) 94Ru and 96Ru (n, 2n) 95Ru, respectively (Fig. IUPAC.44.2),. 104Ru is used to produce the radioisotope 105Rh (with a half-life of about 35 h) via the reaction 104Ru (p, γ) 105Rh. 105Rh has been used in the treatment of bone pain.
